Wishing a frustrating situation would disappear?

June 26 – Wishing a frustrating situation would disappear? Is there something occurring right now in your life or work that you simply wish would just go away? Is it distracting you to the point of inefficiency and also impacting your ability to focus on anything else? Could part of the problem be that you are procrastinating in dealing with the issue? Is your reluctance to just cope and hope for the best actually the real reason you are not being either efficient of productive?

Problems are opportunities in disguise. Once you embrace this fact, you are better able to tackle problems head on and create momentum instead. View the problem as a welcome challenge to learn, grow and then know even more as a result of working through it.

Take an MM&I Moment to awaken to the opportunity that exists through honestly assessing your situation like you would for a friend or respected colleague.  Why is the situation frustrating you? What could you do to lessen its emotional impact upon you? What could you do to eliminate it from distracting you? How could others assist in giving you clearer perspective or insight? What is the opportunity that is hidden amidst the problem you are experiencing? What good may come out of working through this situation that may not have been revealed otherwise? When you consider your proudest moments from the past, they most likely were those moments where you overcame a challenge and triumphed against intimidating odds. Remember this whenever you are faced with a challenge. There really is nothing that can stop you once you believe in your ability to overcome whatever is thrown your way.
