May 22 – Are your talent and treasure aligned? Are you doing your highest value work? Are you earning the value you desire for the work that you do? Or are you putting time and energy into areas that are not reaping the greatest return for your efforts? Do you not feel financially rewarded for the level of competency or capability you bring to the table? Do you not feel emotionally rewarded and gratified by what you are doing?
When you have talent and unique abilities to offer, it is up to you to make them known, understood, and appreciated to their fullest capacity to be leveraged and valued. When your financial outcome is not what you hoped to realize from the talent, capability, and competency that you bring to the table, you must first assess where there may be a disconnect in how it is being perceived or received. When you do not feel recognized or appreciated for your talent and abilities, consider why recognition is important to you and also consider if you are making your desires known in leveraging your abilities to their greatest capacity.
Take an MM&I Moment to awaken to better ways to position and elevate your value and worth in others’ eyes. Are you being viewed as a business or professional outstanding at what you do, or a business or professional in a sea of others offering the same thing? As a business owner, do you truly know what your ideal target market is willing to pay for in what you offer? As a professional or business owner, do you know without question how what you offer is exceptional above all others? Can you provide tangible results, return on investment, or desired or ideal outcomes that quantify the value you bring? Your ability to stand out and set yourself apart means you are also willing to take a stand in raising expectations to levels perhaps not considered before. Those seeking the ability to do and achieve more will pay more and appreciate more. Those seeking to excel beyond all others align with those already doing it. What sets you apart raises your value and preference substantially.
