Apr 17 – Which glass is yours? Is your glass half empty, half full, full, or overflowing? Is a glass half empty mentality consuming you, having you focused on everything that is missing in your life, negatively occurring, or not going right? Do you pride yourself on having a glass half full mentality, seeing the bright side of things? What about that other half? Could your glass actually be full or even overflowing and you are limiting your thinking and your possibilities? Does a full glass feel overwhelming or does it feel exciting? Does the prospect of your glass overflowing inspire you or intimidate you?
So many of us view life from a limited perspective without even realizing it. What is tangible is what we measure and what is not tangible is not valued or acknowledged. What are things, people, or experiences that you are taking for granted? What are desired feelings that are being dismissed or ignored? What are you being consumed by that is keeping you from filling your glass even more? When you realize the beauty of a glass overflowing, you realize a life of unlimited possibilities.
Take an MM&I Moment to awaken to how the glass half full may be limiting you. Even though you have a glass half full mentality, are you still feeling drained and maybe even a bit exhausted? Is your glass half full related to everyone and everything around you that you see as positive, but then there is nothing left for you even though all these things bring you joy? Are you caught up in measuring your half full glass to others, and so the focus is more on keeping up versus truly seeing all your blessings around you? Are many drinking from your well making it all about them instead of being a source of filling it up too? Instead of being overwhelmed or intimidated by a glass overflowing, imagine your life overflowing with so many blessings, wonderful experiences, uplifting people, unending possibilities, and ever evolving opportunities to enjoy each moment no matter what you are doing.
