Aug 3 – Are you positioning or posturing? How are you building preference in what you are the most qualified and best at doing? How is your business building preference? How are you professionally building preference? Are you doing anything and everything to get attention or get noticed? Or are you strategically targeting and engaging towards and with those who can benefit the most?
Are your efforts more focused on pats on your back, or in celebrating others you have helped or engaged with to make a difference or have impact? Are you inspiring share of mind in ways that are informative and insightful, or are you more focused on your image and merely looking good? There is a big difference between positioning for advantage and posturing for advantage. One focuses on enhancing and elevating your strengths, while the other focuses on diminishing and redirecting away from any weaknesses.
Take an MM&I Moment to awaken to how you may be posturing versus effectively positioning yourself or your business. Are you constantly focused on your competition and trying to prove them to be wrong or ineffective? Are you in a mode of trying to convince people to work with you or hire you? Are you so focused on being right that it takes priority over learning and elevating what you could do to an even higher level? Your strengths become strengths through awareness and continuously nurturing and enhancing them. When your strengths are demonstrated through action, your advantage is demonstrated through results.
