Aug 12 – Are you limiting yourself? Are you feeling limited in what you can do because of the current state of affairs? Do you feel the weight of responsibility on your shoulders from all directions? Do you wish you had more options? Do you wish you had more support? Do you feel you must handle and manage it all, and that is just the way that it is at this time? When you feel you are limited and have no choices, the first choice you need to make is to be open to all possible resources, options, and support. When you open your mind to others, you open the possibilities.
Take an MM&I Moment to awaken your mind to your unlimited possibilities. Make a list of all the things you feel there are no options to consider. Next to these things, list one or two people who you could reach out to for ideas or even support. Next to these things, list something you could learn and who may be able to teach you or show you. Now list anything you feel is all up to you. Next to these items, list people who have done what you are trying to do. If you are doing something no-one else has done before, list people who would be excited or intrigued by what you are doing. Most important of all in the people listed, don’t compartmentalize or censor who comes to mind or could be a resource. Don’t worry if you don’t know them very well. Don’t judge. Don’t assume. Don’t rationalize. Finally, make it a point throughout the next week to reach out to these people, one by one. I guarantee you will be amazed at what transpires in resources, ideas, options, support and a renewed sense that you really are not in this alone.
