Are you viewing discipline in the right way?

June 26, 2019 - Are you viewing discipline in the right way? Are you beating yourself up because you have not accomplished all that you have set out to do? Have many things gotten in your way, pulling you in a multitude directions? There is a fine balance between doing for others and doing for oneself. When it is out of balance, all that you are doing for others feels like work and all that you are not doing for yourself feels like sacrifice and unfulfilled intentions. It is important to do what you say you are going to do. For others and also for yourself.  Perhaps it is time to say no to others in order to say yes to yourself.

Take an MM&I Moment to awaken to all that you have been saying “yes” to that is keeping you from doing what you really want to be doing. Take a look at each obligation or commitment, and ask yourself if you really need to be the one doing, or is there someone else equally suited that could do it? Better yet, could this be done by the person you are doing it for? Does it even need to be done at all? Saying “no” isn’t being disrespectful. It may be the most respectful thing you could do.
