Jan 9, 2017 - Is getting started eluding you? Do you have every good intention of starting an initiative that is important to you, and yet something keeps holding you back from moving forward? Is there something about it that intimidates you, or are you more overwhelmed by not knowing exactly where to begin? Are you relying on a specific situation to occur before you believe you can proceed? Are many things pulling at you causing distraction and chaos that prohibits you from being able to focus on what you really want to be doing? Is it possible the these distractions are merely excuses, due to feeling intimidated or overwhelmed?
Take an MM&I Moment to understand your hesitation to begin. Write down what you believe to be causing your delay. Is it time? Is it dependency on someone else? Is it everything else that you feel you must focus on right now? Is it resources you think that you need? Is it doubt in yourself, the opportunity, or other factors? No matter what is making you hesitate, your biggest hurdle to overcome is your thinking. Believe in what you desire to accomplish, and then take whatever step you can to begin. That first step will light the way to many more actions, resources, and ways to get you where you want to go.
