If you feel you could be doing more, yet believe you are being limited or unappreciated, first consider how you may be contributing to the very thing you are discontented by.
Take an MM&I Moment to confirm that you have exhausted all options in an effort to be heard, provide your full abilities, knowledge, insight, and skills. Have you directly and specifically communicated how you can contribute more? Have you directly asked to be considered for a particular project or to offer your thoughts regarding a situation you believe you could bring added insight? Have you shared your concern with regard to not being recognized for contributions or not being given opportunities that interest you? Too often, we allow ourselves to get too caught up in what we believe is not happening for us. We possess within us great power to realize our fullest potential through our own action and commitment, regardless of circumstances and the action of others.
