Feb 9, 2015 - Is your patience wearing thin? Are you getting more and more frustrated by a lack of progress in a particular endeavor or situation? Do you find that you are anxious to keep things moving forward, but others are causing delays or you are not getting information or the insights you need to carry on? Instead of allowing a lack of patience to get the best of you, allow your focus to bring out the best in you. While you cannot control others, you can control how you approach things.
Take an MM&I Moment to transform your frustration into focused action. Make a list of any steps you can take while awaiting someone else's action. Don't limit your thinking as a result of limited progress on their part. There is always something that can be done to continue to move an initiative forward. What other information would be of value to you? Pursue seeking these answers while awaiting other answers. When you focus only on what is not happening, you further limit your ability to make things happen. By continually focusing on what you can do, regardless of what is happening around you, you will realize a level of productivity you had never known before.
