April 28, 2014 - Are you fully engaged in life? How often do you feel distracted and pulled in many directions? How often do you find yourself wishing you were doing something other than what you are doing right at that moment? If the answer is "often" or even "sometimes" to either one of these questions, you may be on the verge or already are disengaged in your own life. Do you feel frustration, lack of fulfillment, exhaustion, stress, unending demands and obligations, and are wishing for some form of escape from it all? Guess what? Escaping, even for a short period of time, may be exactly what you need.
Take an MM&I Moment to write down what you could do for 30 minutes or a couple of hours that would help you feel more engaged and satisfied today. Now write down where you would like to go or could go to enjoy this period to its fullest. Write down what you would do over an entire afternoon, an entire weekend, or even an entire week of escape. Look at your calendar and literally block off some time to do exactly what you have recorded here. No ifs. No ands. No buts. Giving yourself permission to be engaged in your own life is the first step towards having a life you absolutely adore.
