Is your idea of success part of the problem?

Sept 23, 2013 - Is your idea of success part of the problem? Are you striving to acquire particular things or achieve specific accomplishments in order to ultimately attain a certain status that, in your eyes, means you have truly realized success? Are you defining success based on someone else's definition of success or expectations? When you are mapping out and envisioning your future, don't allow yourself to get caught in the mind trap of someone else's beliefs. Your achievement and your success should always be based on becoming all that you can be, the way you want to be.

Take an MM&I Moment to ask yourself why you are achieving what you are trying to achieve. Take a look at your accomplishments and ask yourself if they were most satisfying for you, or more focused on satisfying someone else's expectation. Take a look at your goals and confirm that the reasons behind them are coming from you and your belief in yourself. Once you embrace your goals and understand what success truly means to you and for you, there really is no stopping you.
