Nov 5, 2012 – Feeling limited and stuck? Are you feeling limited in some way that is affecting your ability to move forward? Are you stuck with regard to the next step in a process or initiative because you believe you need something that you don’t currently have? Or are you stuck because you must rely on someone else to move the next phase forward? Whatever is frustrating you right now, the best way to overcome the frustration is to do what you can. Too often, obsessing over what is not getting accomplished actually impacts other things getting accomplished as well.
Take an MM&I Moment to note how you feel stuck or limited and why. Then note what you can do in the meantime to either move another phase of it forward or a related aspect of it forward. If relying on someone else, reach out to confirm if there is anything else they might need from you. Also note any action you can take to move another initiative forward. By allowing yourself to easily shift and focus on whatever can be done whenever you feel stuck or held back, you are demonstrating confidence in yourself and in your desired outcome by continuing to create momentum and progress amidst any challenges or hiccups.
