March 12, 2012 – Is your why not clear? What do you believe it will take to accomplish a long-term goal that seems out of reach at the moment? Are you so focused on what you need to do in the short term, you haven’t even considered it in a while? Or do you believe the goal is something to be accomplished so far in the future, that it is not a priority at this time? Any goal you truly desire to be accomplished merits attention that begins from the time you determined this was a goal to be reached in the first place.
Take an MM&I Moment to remind yourself why this goal is important to you? What will it mean for you, for others, and for your future? What could it mean for you now if you actually accomplished it sooner than imagined? Instead of seeing this goal as out of reach right now, think about what it will take to make it more within reach. Instead of thinking what aspects of it are not possible right now, consider that is possible to get you closer to its reality. Don’t allow your own assumptions or beliefs of limitation convince you otherwise. Simply begin what you began when you envisioned this goal.

“If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is compromise.” – Robert Fritz
