Jan 17, 2011 – Have you confused your why? In everything that you have to do on your schedule for today, this week, or this month, have you thought about why you are doing it or why it must be done? Is each “why” answer putting you on the path towards reaching one of your goals? Is each “why” answer fueling your passion and purpose, and crystallizing the unique difference you know you can make? If you find it hard to stay motivated in what you are doing, then you either don’t have a good “why” or you are not feeding and fueling your passion.
Take an MM&I Moment to write down the whys around your to-do list. If your whys aren’t getting you closer to your ultimate goals or desires, then take a step back to confirm whether what you are doing really needs to be done in the first place. If the task still needs to be done, consider how else it could get done besides you doing it, so you can focus where you can best make progress towards your goals. Make sure that each and every day you feel inspired and excited about what you are doing. Your whys and your intent together make this real for you each day and before you know it, your goals have become reality.
