Dec 20, 2010 - What gift are you hoping to receive this coming holiday? If you were to name the most valued gift you have already been given, what would it be? Is it time with someone? Is it a unique talent or ability that you possess? Is it a special memory? Is it a unique item someone gave you that was unexpected, yet simply the perfect thing? Whatever that gift might be, consider what it really gave you. Was it hope? Was it inspiration? Was it motivation? Was it affirmation? Was it peace of mind? Was it replenishment? Was it a smile from deep inside? Was it the ability to achieve something?
Take an MM&I Moment to appreciate what has been given to you from others as well as simply the gift of being you. Appreciation and acknowledgement is the greatest gift we can give to ourselves and others any time and in the simplest of ways. When we appreciate, we are showing the world that we take nothing for granted and place real value in the here and now as well as what lies ahead. When we appreciate who we are, then we not only believe in what we can do, but what we will do.
