Dec 6, 2010 - When is the last time you did absolutely nothing? When is the last time you allowed yourself to be still and just be? If you cannot remember or even imagine such a thing, then the time is now. If you have been going like gangbusters and only expect it to get even more demanding over this holiday season, then your body needs a rest, and so does your brain. While you rest, you are also rejuvenating much more than your spirit and energy. Your brain is also being given the ability to subconsciously process and revisit all that you have been doing and thinking. And this, my friends, is when inspired thoughts and creative ideas will come to you and absolutely delight you with the promise they could bring.
Take an MM&I Moment to block out some moments in your schedule to do nothing at all. Then commit to making this a part of your rejuvenation plan on a weekly basis into the New Year and make it a valuable and coveted habit. Better yet, take a couple minutes right now to sit back, breathe deep, and just allow you mind to clear and your body to relax. Then make this a daily activity starting now.

“To do nothing at all is the most difficult thing to do – the most difficult and the most intellectual.” – Oscar Wilde
