Caught in old paradigms?

August 4 – Caught in old paradigms? Are you stuck in a way of thinking because everyone else thinks that way too? Do you believe there are things you must simply accept as they are because nothing can change? Are you distracted by what was or wasn’t that you are not experiencing what could be?  Have you been taught a way of approaching something that could be no longer the best way? There is a big difference between tried and true and just being the way things have been done.

It is one thing to be challenged by others. It is entirely another to be challenged by ourselves. Our greatest opportunity for growth comes from challenging our own thinking in a way that breeds curiosity, intrigue, and openness to alternative ways of being and doing.

Take an MM&I Moment to awaken your mind to possibilities beyond what you see and currently think.  What are things you currently believe that you have grown to accept without really exploring how it could be even better? How are you distracted by the past that is causing you not to fully enjoy your present?  How can you adjust or evolve the way you currently approach something for greater efficiency, effectiveness, or productivity? By challenging old paradigms, you are opening your imagination to a world of possibilities yet to be explored.
